Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before training begins
These are the questions Metro Atlanta families commonly ask about private in-home and virtual dog training.
What types of training do you offer?
New Leash Dog Training provides private in-home and virtual training for puppies, everyday manners, real-world obedience, and behavior concerns such as fear, reactivity, anxiety, resource guarding, and aggression.
Where do in-home sessions take place?
Sessions take place in your home and, when appropriate, in nearby real-world settings where your dog needs help, such as sidewalks, parks, patios, or neighborhood areas.
Do you offer board-and-train programs?
No. The focus is private coaching that teaches both the dog and the owner. Lasting progress depends on clear communication and practice between sessions.
Can you help with an aggressive or reactive dog?
Behavior Rehabilitation is designed for dogs showing reactivity, fear, anxiety, aggression, resource guarding, separation distress, or difficult rescue-related behavior. Safety needs and program fit are discussed before scheduling.
How soon can we start?
Availability varies by week and location. Call, text, or email with a brief description of your dog, your location, and the main concern so scheduling options can be reviewed.
Do you train puppies?
Yes. Fresh Start Puppy is for puppies approximately 8 weeks to 5 months and covers house and crate training, nipping, chewing, jumping, routines, socialization, and owner coaching.
Are virtual sessions effective?
Virtual coaching can work well for puppy routines, household manners, owner education, preparation, follow-up support, and some behavior cases. The best format depends on the concern and the home environment.
Will my dog be trained after one session?
One session can provide a clear plan and useful changes, but dependable behavior is built through repetition, consistency, and practice. The number of sessions depends on your goals and the complexity of the behavior.
Do you guarantee results?
No responsible trainer can guarantee a specific behavior outcome. Progress depends on the dog, the environment, health, history, consistency, and owner participation. You will receive practical guidance and honest expectations.
What should I prepare before contacting you?
Be ready to share your dog's age, breed or mix, how long the dog has lived with you, the main behaviors you want to address, any bite history, and your Metro Atlanta location.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment details are confirmed when scheduling. Contact New Leash Dog Training for current payment options and package availability.
Do you serve all of Metro Atlanta?
Service availability depends on travel distance and scheduling. Contact us with your neighborhood or city so we can confirm in-home availability or discuss virtual training.

Still unsure where to start?
Tell us what daily life looks like right now
You do not need to diagnose your dog or know the name of the right program. Describe what you see, when it happens, and what you hope will change. That is enough to begin a useful conversation.
