Before an urgent situation
Safety comes first
If a dog is actively threatening a person or animal, create distance and use a secure barrier without escalating the interaction. For an immediate emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service. Sudden behavior changes should also be discussed with a veterinarian because pain or illness may contribute.
For training support, provide an honest description of any bite, near-bite, escape, or handling concern. Accurate information helps determine whether the case is appropriate and how to prepare safely.
